IPL 2024: Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals – Match Prediction

Two teams at the bottom of the points table – Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals – will take on each other at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai in the 20th match of IPL 2024 on Sunday. MI is still looking for their maiden win of the season whereas Delhi has managed a solitary win out of the four they have played.

While Delhi could not deliver with the ball in the previous match against KKR, conceding the second-highest total in the IPL history – 272, MI could only manage 125 runs against RR in their last game. MI’s bowling has also come under scrutiny as they conceded 277 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, which is the highest total in the IPL.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya’s captaincy is also under the pump for the limited use of Jasprit Bumrah in the Powerplay overs. Pandya has been booed by the Mumbai crowd and he will need to deliver the results to get the support of the fans.

MI could not get any kind of momentum in their batting innings against RR and their batters will want to deliver the goods. Suryakumar Yadav is set to join the camp on Friday and it will be interesting to note if he would be available for selection.

On the other hand, Delhi Capitals’ bowlers will need to pull up their socks as they were taken to the cleaners by Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi in the last game.

Match Prediction: Mumbai Indians will enter the contest as favorites against Delhi Capitals.

MI Squad: Hardik Pandya (c), Rohit Sharma, Dewald Brevis, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, N. Tilak Varma, Tim David, Vishnu Vinod, Arjun Tendulkar, Shams Mulani, Nehal Wadhera, Jasprit Bumrah, Kumar Kartikeya, Piyush Chawla, Akash Madhwal, Luke Wood, Romario Shepherd, Gerald Coetzee, Shreyas Gopal, Nuwan Thushara, Naman Dhir, Anshul Kamboj, Mohammad Nabi, Shivalik Sharma, Luke Wood, Kwena Maphaka.

DC Squad: Rishabh Pant, Tristan Stubbs, Abishek Porel, Kumar Kushagra, Ricky Bhui, Shai Hope, Prithvi Shaw, Harry Brook, Yash Dhull, Swastik Chikara, David Warner, Pravin Dubey, Axar Patel, Mitchell Marsh, Lalit Yadav, Vicky Ostwal, Sumit Kumar, Anrich Nortje, Mukesh Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Kuldeep Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Jhye Richardson, Rasikh Salem
