World Cup 2023: India vs England, Game 29 – Dafanews Match Preview

India will take on the defending champions England at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow in the 29th match of the ongoing World Cup 2023 on Sunday. India has been a force to reckon with in the ongoing showpiece whereas England has looked perplexed in their mundane performances.

The hosts have won all of their five games whereas England have managed a solitary win in five matches. We look at the current form, head-to-head, players to look out for, and squads of both teams in our match preview.

Current form for India: W W W W W

There is no doubt that India has been the most dominant team in the ongoing World Cup and they have clicked as a unit in all three departments of the game. The home team had continued their winning impetus against the Kiwis and would aim to do the same against England, who are low on confidence.

Current form for England: L L L W L

England’s batting was a major disappointment in their last game as they were skittled out for a paltry score of 156 runs against Sri Lanka. There were a lot of soft dismissals and England has looked dejected so far in the competition as they have not turned up.

Head to Head: Matches: 106, Won by India: 57, Won by England: 44, NR: 3, Tied: 2.

India clearly holds the advantage against England in H2H.
