One of the biggest challenges for the Golden State Warriors in the upcoming season of the NBA will be about how they provide support to Steph Curry. With Klay Thompson joining the Dallas Mavericks, it will be interesting to note who will fill in the big shoes.
Players like Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, and Brandin Podziemski are expected to give support to the talisman. Golden State Warriors General Manager said they have some things to figure out a few things before the start of the season.
“The positive is, it’s a bit unknown,” Dunleavy said in a media session. “If you’re an opponent, you’re asking, ‘Who do you have to stop besides Steph Curry?’ The good news is, maybe they don’t know either.”
“I think for us, whether it’s Wiggs, JK, or Brandin, we have a lot of ways to get scoring,” Dunleavy said. “But we have some things to figure out, and that’s where the uncertainty comes in.”
The Golden State Warriors star Curry averaged 14.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 0.7 steals per game at the Olympics.
Steph Curry, who scored 36 points against Serbia in the semifinal, added 24 points in the final, including eight three-pointers. Thus, he played an instrumental role in taking Team USA to glory.
Curry averages 24.8 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game for the Dubs and he has been one of the team’s consistent performers over the years. Furthermore, Curry has signed a one-year, $62.6 million extension with the team ahead of the new season.
