Rajasthan Royals wicket-keeper bat Dhruv Jurel said he wants to give his absolute best for the franchise in the next season of the IPL. There have been rumours floating around that Jurel could be given the captaincy baton as Sanju Samson wants to part ways with the franchise.
After Jurel was appointed the Central Zone’s captain for the Duleep Trophy, RR posted on X, “Ek hoga jo stumps ke peeche se game badal dega (there will be one who would change the game from behind the stumps) 🔥,” igniting the recent reports.
Jurel recalled that Rajasthan Royals gave him the big break in the IPL and he wants to prove his mettle with the franchise and deliver for them.
He said on Breaking Sports with Vivek Sethia on his YouTube Channel, “What I would say is that whatever role I get from Rajasthan Royals doesn’t matter, because they gave me an opportunity when I especially needed it, when I had to show my talent on a big platform. I would say Rajasthan Royals changed my life. They gave me the chance to showcase my ability. So it doesn’t matter whether I get the captaincy or not. From my side, I want to give 2000% for Rajasthan Royals.”
Meanwhile, Jurel said he wants to give his everything and wants to win the championship with the Rajasthan Royals.
“I want to win the championship. Me, Riyan, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju bhai, all of us feel the same way and we have the potential to do it. So our thought process always revolves around how we can win the championship. Whoever becomes captain, our goal is the same, we want to win the championship. And for that, we will do whatever it takes.”
Jurel is also part of the stand-by players for the Asia Cup.
