IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians, Eliminator – Stats Preview

Gujarat Titans will lock horns against Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator contest at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh in the ongoing IPL 2025 on Friday. No team that has finished fourth in the IPL standings, has ever gone on to win an IPL title but not many would want to bet against the Mumbai Indians.

Hardik Pandya’s team had won a solitary game in their first five matches of the season and here they are in the playoffs.

On the other hand, GT’s top-three batters – Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler had done the lion’s share of the scoring. In the absence of Buttler, the middle order would need to be at their best in a crunch game like the eliminator.

Stats Preview:

Ishant Sharma needs four wickets to complete 100 scalps in the tournament.

Shah Rukh Khan needs one six to complete 50 maximums in IPL.

Tilak Varma needs 70 runs to complete 1500 runs in the tournament.

MI captain Hardik Pandya needs five sixes to complete 150 maximums in the IPL.

Rohit Sharma needs two sixes to complete 300 maximums in the IPL. He will become the second batter after Chris Gayle to reach the landmark. The former MI captain also needs 43 runs to complete 7000 runs in the IPL. He will become the second batter after Virat Kohli to reach the milestone.

Suryakumar Yadav needs one four to complete 450 boundaries in the IPL.
