Real Madrid’s striker Kylian Mbappe is proud and honored after his statue is ready to be set at the famous Madame Tussauds in London. Mbappe recently traveled to London to see the sculpture himself and his statue will be on display from Easter.
Mbappe said the statue looks real and he is really happy with the piece of art.
“Oh wow,” a smiling Mbappé said in English in a video when closely inspecting the wax figure.
“The new [France] jersey. Even the new [soccer] boots. That is me. I love it. Amazing. Handsome. Oh my God, you got everything guys … Yes, that’s me … It’s a perfect job.”
The forward already has a wax statue at the Grevin Museum in Paris, but said it is a big honor for him to find space at the Madame Tussauds in London.
“It’s a big achievement for me, a big honor to be part of the big Madame Tussauds family,” Mbappé, 26, said. “I am really happy and even more when you see the results. It is amazing. I’m really proud to be here. It is a big day for me.”
The France captain said he is a big fan of London and likes to explore the culture of the country.
“I love to visit the city, to go to the restaurants, to see a little bit of the culture of the country,” he said. “London is one of the best cities in the world.”
Mbappe has scored 20 goals in 26 matches of the La Liga for Los Blancos and has also provided three assists. He has also scored seven goals in 12 matches in the UEFA Champions League.
