Bengal Warriors had won their previous match against Gujarat Giants by a margin of 19 points. Shrikant Jadhav scored 10 points for his team while Maninder Singh contributed 12 points.
Puneri Paltan, on the other hand, lost their last game by one point against U Mumba. Mohit Goyat scored 13 points for his team but his efforts were not enough for the victory
